Château des Eclaz
COUNTRY: France
REGION: Bugey
In Cheignieu-la-Balme, Jean-Pierre Gros and Michel Roussille brought the vineyard Cassle of Eclaz back to life, formerly owned by Baron d'Empire Bouvier des Éclaz, a contemporary and cousin of gourmet Brillat-Savarin. From this 14th century fortified house that they acquired in 2017, listed as a historical monument, they have made a new gem whose vineyards are once again producing some AOC Bugey nectars. Château des Éclaz has more than 5 hectares, including 3 hectares of Manicle.
