Domaine des Grouas

Domaine des Grouas was created in July 2022, at the confluence of Anjou Noir and Anjou Blanc, in Martigné-Briand, in the heart of the Layon loops. It comprises 12 hectares of vines, certified organic since 2018 and 6 hectares of biodiversity reserve. As winemakers, they focus on respect for living things and the highlighting of the terroir through minimal intervention and inputs in order to produce wines of place and emotion.

Although the plots are close to the estate, they feature a variety of soil: schist, falun, clay, quartz, sandstone. Combined with the seven grape varieties that they grow, the estate offers a wide range of still and sparkling wines.

After spending years in consulting and digital technology, Lionel changed careers to pursue his lifelong passion: winemaking. With a BTS (Advanced Vocational Diploma) in viticulture and oenology from Marseille, Lionel worked in the Loire Valley in Jasnières for two years at Domaine de Bellivière, then in Anjou at Terre de l'Élu and with Emmanuel Ogereau. Pauline joined the field in early 2026.
