La Bascule
COUNTRY: France
REGION: Roussillon
Domaine Leonine and Domaine Bascule continue their partnership, rooted in shared values and a love for Roussillon’s unique terroir. Stéphane and Caroline Morin of Domaine Leonine remain key figures in the region, crafting wines with minimal intervention and a deep respect for the land. Their long-standing friendships with producers like Les Foulards Rouge and YoYo keep the local winemaking community close-knit and collaborative.
Domaine Bascule, a project started by Fifi with the support of the Morins, has come into its own. The wines, made from organic grapes sourced across Roussillon, are fresh, approachable, and deeply tied to their origins. After managing the 2020 vintage remotely during lockdown, Fifi returned to work alongside Stéphane and Caroline, building on their shared expertise. Today, both domaines represent the heart of Roussillon’s natural wine scene, creating wines that are honest, vibrant, and rooted in a sense of place.
